Welcome to V-Sense

V-Sense (Vehicular Sensor Network Infrastructure) is a two year research project that aims to improve the performance of Vehicular Sensor Networks (VSN). Specifically the project will:

  • Study the dynamics and topology of large-scale VSNs from the viewpoint of complex networks
  • Design and propose a distributed middleware architecture that will support the establishment of VSNs
  • Investigate robust location-aware services that will improve the coordination of sensing tasks, large-scale sensor data aggregation and dissemination, query resolution and interconnection with the Internet.

V-Sense is supported by a strong collaboration network from partnerns such as: University of Cyprus, University of Nicosia Research Foundation, Rutgers University and University of Thessaly, who bring world-class expertise in research areas related to VSNs.

V-Sense is under the National Framework Programme for Research, Technological Development and Innovation 2009-2010 of the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation (RPF) and co-funded by the Republic of Cyprus and the European Regional Development Fund.
